I originally purchased my FS2.5 elliptical in early February, through Amazon.com and unfortunately, had problems. The first elliptical that arrived made grinding sounds, vibrated, interior scrapping and threw plastic shavings out onto the floor. I already know from experience that Amazon will often redirect consumers to the manufacturer. I reached out to xterra and was finally able to speak with someone, David, concerning the problem with the ellipitcal. David was patient, considerate, and great to work with in addressing the issue. David explained that Amazon would need to be contacted for a replacement. He even stayed on the phone with me as I went through the process of contacting Amazon to get a replacement for the faulty elliptical. The replacement finally arrived,was as easy to assemble as the first one, is a sturdy machine and this time no scrapping, grinding sound, vibration. Would be nice if it was quieter but perhaps it's typical for this model. For now it functions as it should and does not appear to be scrapping the interior of the wheel casing. The five stars are more for the great customer support I received.

Ellipticals are my go to machine at the gym, but due to covid I decided to cancel my gym membership and get a home machine instead. I am so so so so glad I did. The quality of this elliptical is amazing for the price. There's virtually no noise, the levels are challenging and I get a great workout. I needed help carrying the box into my house because it was HEAVY, but the assembly was manageable with help. Would recommend a thousand times over.

I purchased this model approximately 5 years ago. It was a great machine for 4 years and limped along the final year. Overall I do not regret this machine- I work it beyond the average person and it took the abuse like a champ!

Great elliptical, difficult assembly

This is a really great elliptical for the price. It’s sturdy and works well. I had issues with the assembly. I received my elliptical with some of the bolts missing. Customer service was really nice and helpful and once I got the elliptical up and running it worked great.

I found assembly to be extremely easy with the help of another person. Most of the screws were already on there, so that was one less step to do. I am of average height and the stride is just right. I haven’t used too much yet, but my first impression of this machine is really good

I went with this model because I was looking for an affordable elliptical that still had multiple resistance levels. For the price I am happy with this purchase. It was a little difficult to put together and the bolts needed to be tightened after awhile, but overall happy with it.
